In chemical management, from raw materials, commodity manufacturing and even waste disposal, wherever chemical substances are used, they should comply with the GHS Global Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (Note 1), and all hazard information of chemicals should be recorded in detail in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS, Safety Data Sheet); and according to Taiwan's “Hazardous Chemicals Management Integration Coaching”, all hazard information is recorded in detail in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS, Safety Data Sheet). All hazardous information, are recorded in detail to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS, Safety Data Sheet); and according to Taiwan's “Hazardous Chemicals Labeling and General Knowledge Rules” Chapter III “Safety Data Sheet, List, Disclosure and General Knowledge Measures,” Article 15 of the regulations:
- The manufacturer, importer, supplier or employer shall review the accuracy of the safety information sheet according to the actual situation, update it in a timely manner, and review it at least once every three years.
- The content, date, edition and other updated records of the previous Safety Data Sheet shall be kept for three years.

Chemical management can be carried out using the PDCA concept

Chemical labels should be as clear as possible to let others know the possible hazardous reactions and injuries that may occur, as well as what should be avoided during operation, and even the emergency response measures that can be taken when a hazard occurs, in order to minimize injuries as much as possible.
The Chemical Control Banding (CCB) tool utilizes the health hazard characteristics of the chemical itself and the potential exposure level (e.g., amount of use, dispersion) during use to determine the risk level and recommended management methods through a risk matrix, and then adopts the relevant risk mitigation or control measures to improve the situation.
Note 1: GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals) is a globally harmonized system for the classification and labelling of chemicals led by the United Nations in order to reduce the health hazards and environmental pollution of chemicals to workers and users, as well as the barriers to cross-border trade. “
